Our Shows (and Weddings)

We design our shows to suit the specific occasion:

SILWER will add style and sincerity to any occasion, with honest flair. We regularly perform in theaters and venues all over South Africa.

Should you wish for world class singing at a corporate function or just add a special treat to your birthday party – SILWER will contribute to your high standards of class and entertainment.

Weddings are a special case.

So you’ve decided to get married, and want to make sure that your wedding is extra special with that little bit of magic you’ve always dreamed about? Yes, getting singers to sing at your wedding will definitely add something special, and we would love to be there for you.

There are a few ways we could sing at your wedding, first, if you were worried that the people don’t know the hymns (“Gesange, Psalms, Liedboek liedere”), you could have us sing that either alone, or with the guests. Or the Our Father (“Onse Vader”), just as you wish. Secondly, one of the most beautiful places to have a song would be just after you have exchanged rings, we could sing a blessing upon the newly wedded couple (“seënbede”), this would be our favourite suggestion. And a third place that you could have singing would be just after the ceremony, as you are taking photos, why not entertain the guests for 20 minutes or so while they wait and you are busy capturing the photographic memories of a life-time?

The details around getting us to sing at your wedding would work like this. You contact us, ask if that date is open, and you would love for us to sing at your wedding. We would then reply with a “We’d love to!”, and ask a few questions like venue, when, number of guests at the wedding, and have you thought about where in the ceremony you would like us to sing, which songs you would love to remember as having being sung at your perfect wedding, and do you require us to bring equipment (microphones, speakers, mixing board etc), or will that already be at the wedding. Per arrangement we could also just sing with the organ as accompaniment, but then we would need to practice with the organist beforehand. After we have these details, we would give you a quote, or a round-about idea of how much we would ask, and that’s about that!

Feel free, of course, to ask for anything special that you can think of, we love to work with people and with new ideas.

Can’t wait to hear from you!
